The Grand Postal Building
Historic colonial-style building that served as Bangkok’s main post office in the early 20th century. The European-influenced architecture represents Thailand’s modernisation era. Now a notable landmark showcasing the area’s administrative and commercial development along the Chao Phraya River.

Bangkokian Museum
The Bangkokian Museum offers visitors a glimpse into Bangkok’s past. This intimate museum brings wartime stories and neighbourhood memories to life. The attached BMA captures the history of Bangrak, when historic canals and windmills defined the area.

Assumption Cathedral
Historic Catholic cathedral built in 1910, featuring beautiful neo-Romanesque architecture with twin spires. SAMPHANTHAWONG
Located to the northwest of Silom across Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem, this district blends heritage with authentic community life. The historic Talad Noi neighborhood features narrow alleyways adorned with street art, traditional shophouses, and long-standing mechanic workshops. The district also borders the famous Chinatown (Yaowarat), known for its vibrant markets and rich cultural influences.

Neilson Hays Library
Bangkok’s oldest English-language library, established in 1869. This historic colonial building in Bangrak houses over 20,000 books and serves as a cultural hub for the international community. Features reading rooms, events, and a peaceful garden courtyard.

Sri Maha Mariamman Temple (Wat Khaek)
Vibrant Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Mariamman, featuring colourful South Indian architecture and intricate sculptures. This sacred site serves Bangkok’s Tamil community and hosts traditional ceremonies and festivals.

SATHON
Sathon is located to the south and southeast of Silom, this neighbour stands as another of Bangkok’s key financial hubs, distinguished by its impressive high-rise skyline and the tree-lined elegance of Sathon Road. In some areas, Khlong Sathon (Sathon Canal) serves as a natural boundary between the two districts.
